Jetty Repair

While we were at the Oregon coast, we went to the South jetty at the mouth of the Columbia River. The jetty is going through a major repair operation. We saw HUGE 20-ton boulders lifted and then placed into trucks to fix the jetty. Here is a great picture of the project I found. South Jetty

This has got to be a dream job for some adult "boys". The men I was with were sure interested.

Yup, I think that a fascination with large mechanical items is hardwired into the "Y" gene.

I know some "boys" that would deffinitely appreciate that! But we have enough trouble talking the men in this house out of large machinery...

For some silly reason us womenfolk seem to think that 3 snowcats, a trencher and 2 trucks - not counting the family car - is more than enough for one person...
